We had a great call tonight with a number of coaches who got to spend the better part of an hour with Carl.

His coach, Tom Tellez, taught Carl that “pushing” is the best way to create power, momentum and ultimately, speed.  Old school is real school, and it’s still true today…because it’s based on the mechanics of human motion.

Carl reviewed starts and how to align, then coach the athlete up and out for maximum power out of the blocks.  Patience and PUSHING through those first three steps will deliver the momentum, after which the athlete should stay tall, work the arms precisely, and KEEP PUSHING to accelerate efficiently.

There was some great Q&A and also discussion about how to help athletes work their way into right collegiate system that’s the best fit for them.

We’ve attached the audio of the call here.  Listen in!
